This study offers a detailed comparative analysis of the interpretations of Fyodor Dostoevsky's 'Crime and Punishment' as presented in the textbooks of Lebedev and Korovin. The research focuses on identifying the commonalities and divergences in their pedagogical approaches, specifically examining how they address key themes such as existentialism, morality, and social injustice. Furthermore, the analysis considers the target audiences of each textbook, evaluating the effectiveness of their respective interpretations for student comprehension and engagement with the novel's complex ideas and characters. Ultimately, the project assesses the impact of these different interpretations on the students' understanding of the novel.
