This section examines the various ethical frameworks that shape scientific practice, including utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics. Special consideration will be given to how these frameworks can be applied to solve the ethical challenges. We hope to better understand the differences and similarities within these viewpoints, allowing for a more nuanced approach to decision-making. We will assess each framework's advantages and disadvantages when addressing ethical challenges across a range of scientific disciplines, such as technology, medicine, and environmental science.
