They will be able to accurately identify key garments, styles, and designers associated with each period, distinguishing between different eras’ aesthetic characteristics and historical fashions. This will be demonstrated through participation in class discussions and completion of written assignments involving describing fashion trends.
Students will improve their analytical skills by connecting fashion trends to broader historical and social contexts. They will practice researching information from various sources (images, texts, videos) and synthesizing it into coherent presentations or written summaries. Students will develop critical thinking skills by evaluating the impacts of culture and technology on the evolution of clothing styles.
Students will enhance their oral communication skills through participating in class discussions and delivering short presentations on chosen fashion eras.
