Students will be able to identify and differentiate between the main types of schools in Great Britain. They will also understand the historical development and current structure of the British education system.
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the British educational system, including school types, entry requirements (where applicable), and funding models. They will be able to explain the historical evolution of the system and the key educational reforms that have shaped it, displaying an understanding of terminology and key concepts related to UK schooling. This includes accurate labeling of school systems and their operational methods.
Students will hone their analytical and critical thinking skills by comparing and contrasting different school structures. They will develop research skills by finding information about specific schools or educational policies. They shall apply their research and insights into structured essay paragraphs and presentations, enhancing their written and oral communication ability.
Students will be able to actively participate in classroom discussions, presenting their viewpoints and responding to the ideas of others. They will engage in collaborative tasks, working with peers to analyze information and complete assignments, formulating coherent arguments and conclusions concerning the British school structure.
