This research project undertakes a comprehensive comparative analysis of dietary habits and culinary practices within the Nenets and British cultures. It will investigate the nutritional value and cultural significance of various traditional dishes from both groups, examining the ingredients, preparation methods, and consumption rituals. A primary focus will be placed on the challenges and nuances involved in translating Nenets culinary terms into English, considering linguistic, cultural, and historical contexts. The project aims to identify the similarities and differences in food cultures, shedding light on the socio-cultural impact of food within each society. The research incorporates a comparative approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of each culture's culinary landscape. This includes examining historical records, cookbooks, ethnographic studies, and conducting interviews with native speakers and community stakeholders to gather insights into the evolution and contemporary state of food traditions.
