Furthermore, the project will investigate the role of social media platforms and their algorithms in the spread of disinformation. The project aims to provide methods and guidelines for identifying false news on the internet.
The project will analyze different fake news, including news from unreliable websites. We will look at information from various social networks, starting from Facebook and ending with TikTok. Emphasis will also be placed on the development of practical strategies for verifying the authenticity of online sources, such as cross-referencing information, assessing the credibility of websites, and detecting signs of manipulation. Ultimately, the project will highlight the importance of media literacy and the need for individuals to adopt a proactive approach to information consumption in the digital age.
