This research project delves into the multifaceted experiences of individuals of African descent residing in Russia. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of their sociocultural integration, challenges, and contributions to Russian society. The project will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis to capture the diverse realities of the African diaspora. This research acknowledges the historical context of the African presence in Russia, including the periods of the Soviet Union and the post-Soviet era, examining how these historical factors shape the contemporary experiences of the diaspora. The project will investigate issues such as identity formation, community building, access to education and employment, and experiences with discrimination and racism. Furthermore, the study will analyze the cultural impact of the African diaspora on Russia, exploring artistic expressions, social practices, and their interactions with local communities. The findings will be disseminated through academic publications, presentations, and community outreach efforts to promote greater understanding and foster intercultural dialogue.
